Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural that privilege belongs to CW, Kripke and Co, I'm simply borrowing them for a while. I'm not making a profit, this is just for fun and all the standard disclaimers apply.

The knife is sharp and true, long-lost memories hitting Sam like a speeding car; two boys claiming the only thing in the world that was theirs.

For Sam the bunker is filled with ghosts of loved ones, too much family history and destiny, too much pain and regret.

But as Sam looks down at the carved initials that he hopes will outlive them, he sees his brother's smile and for the first time he sees home in these grey walls, a sense of belonging flooding his veins, but it will never replace those little boys and their first marked territory.

A/N: I loved every minute of this episode! The story was gripping and full of tension and suspense, the acting by all was very strong, and finally I got what I was craving; a bro-mo that was perfect in every way (I even teared up!) I felt extremely unsettled by Ketch stealing and then staring at the photo of Mary; it felt creepy, obsessive and disturbing. I wonder if that's the angle they were going for or if it was just me? Thank you Show, I want more of these episodes! ♥

One of my faves of all your drabbles. The ghosts and the metaphor (and literal) of territory! <3

Thank you - I'm really happy that you enjoyed it! I loved this moment between the brothers, just talking and reminiscing, and then the flashbacks to their childhood as they marked their territory on the Impala, and now the bunker. I couldn't resist expanding all of that here. Thank you for stopping by :)

I love how you opened with the knife and the act of remembering, hitting Sam like a speeding car, it makes something visceral and immediate out of this quiet moment of reflection.

Oh, I'm sure you're right to be creeped out by Ketch and the photo. It humanizes him a bit that he's got this fixation on Mary, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be an ennobling thing.

Thank you! I loved this moment between the brothers (I've been craving one!) and I wanted to revisit it, and just wallow in the glory of the brotherly moment. I'm happy that you enjoyed it too.

And yes, I found Ketch's stare very unconformable to watch; it felt intense and disturbing, and I'm not sure what it means. Is he struggling with romantic feelings? Or is this something darker like an obsession? I kind of want Mary to be the one to kill him to protect her boys, and take a step towards them and her family.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Thank you, and I'm happy to hear that you picked up on the linked homes of both the impala and bunker. I loved this moment, and I was delighted to see the flashbacks of younger Sam and Dean make a reappearance too. Take care :)
