Title: On His Knees.
Summary: 13.15 Drabble. Sam's faith is missing; he's lost.
Rating: PG13
Genre/Spoilers: Gen. Season 13 spoilers.
Warnings: Unbeta'd
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural that privilege belongs to CW, Kripke and Co, I'm simply borrowing them for a while. I'm not making a profit, this is just for fun and all the standard disclaimers apply.
On His Knees
Alone in his room, Sam searches for the faith that was always there in the very heart of who is he; but all he finds is a pit of doubt; is what they do pointless? One monster replacing another. One life lost for every life saved. Is the good they do even enough?
He knows now why he hasn't prayed in a long time; he's lost; tetherless. So Sam gets down on his knees by his bed and prays; for Dean, for Mom, Cas and Jack, but he also prays that the faith he once had will return to him.
A/N: Finally, we got an episode of just Sam and Dean! We got brotherly banter and humour, we got feels and concern, we got a lovely noir feel with great direction from Amanda, we got twists and turns and a perfect side character in Father Lucca who seemed to be able to offer the boys some much needed words of wisdom and advice, and whose presence only enhanced the storyline with Sam and Dean and their faith (this is what side characters used to do way back when, so I loved that we saw that again!) More Father Lucca please Show (but don't bother if it's just to needlessly kill him for dramatic effect!) I focused on Sam's faith here, because I loved the end scene where we saw the boys talk and communicate honestly with each other. *happy sigh* As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too; on the episode, on the drabble, on everything (just no spoilers please). Take care :)
