11.17 Episode Reaction - SQUEE

I'm on my third rewatch of 11.17, and I just had to drop a squee!!!

I would say that most of you know that I'm a h/c junkie, and while my tastes have expanded over the years of SPN watching, it's still my thing, and that's just not going to change. So basically I was on a high from the minute Sam got shot all the way to the ending scene. I was gripped, on the edge of my seat, scared, tearful, nervous, gleeful at the amount of h/c (I mean even the gory and graphic parts!) with no real idea of what was going to happen with all the twists and turns, and just on a roller coaster of emotions!

Solid performances by all, the direction was awesome, the writing was top-notch, and I just adored the love story of Sam and Dean here! Seeing moments of their everyday life interspersed with the drama and high emotions of Winchester 'deaths' - so many feels!

We're on a roll this season - Show you're kicking it in the ass, and I'm loving it!

Such a strong episode, in a whole strong of strong episodes!!! Every week I've been waiting for a 'dip' but it's no where in sight yet. I really hope it continues all the way until the end!! I ♥ our show!

Wasn't there?!!! For a moment I thought I was reading a fanfic, or something ;) So much h/c, and bleeding, and overdoes, pain, unconsciousness, and baddassery (Billie's 'The Big W' when referencing Sam was perfect!!!)and I loved it all!!! ♥

The opening was perfect, jumping straight into the action, all cold and dramatic, and just proper edge of seat entertainment!!! I loved how they dropped little bits of backstory throughout, letting us see everyday brotherly moments juxtaposed against all the h/c, worry, grief and those 'deaths'!!! Couldn't be more perfect!!!

And hell yes, SEASON 11 FOR PRESIDENT!!!! \O/ \O/

Am I the only one that expected Dean to kiss Sam's cheek when he leaned down to tell him he'd be back for him? No? Ok, just me then ;)

I had the ep on replay for most of night, went to bed too late, and now I'm shattered and sleep deprived, but it was worth it *happy sigh*

Oh a little kiss would have pushed me over the edge I think! But we did get a little tear, and that freak out with the branch in the woods, and that cold hard moment of 'I'm going to kill everything because my brother is dead' face...

It really was, wasn't it!?! Man, they sure are spoiling us this season!

This! So much this! I'm still reeling just reading your reaction! This episode packed so much emotional punch, it'll keep me satisfied for weeks. But then there will be more episodes! Now I'm thinking it's just the icing on the cake as we tumble hopelessly out of control (metaphorically, of course) toward the end...Oh dear, my expectations are way raised for the season finale now! Let's hope Show can keep up the momentum!

I sure hope we get this kind of quality all the way to the end of the season, but if not we'll always have 11.17, and we can live happily there with all its brotherly feels and h/c!!!

Hehe, and you were absolutely right! I loved this episode so hard, all the h/c, and bloody but badass Sam (the Big W!!!) and just all the brotherly feels, and the Romeo and Juliet style deaths with Dean taking that overdose but Sam not being dead - just so perfect!!!

I'm struggling with two ideas for the drabble, so I'll have to pick one! ♥
