Summary: 12.15 Drabble. Dean and his thoughts on Sam's secret (with bonus Dean using Sam's 'Fancy Shampoo' Drabble)

Closer

He's pissed. He hates lies and secrets and Sam knows that, was sat quietly right next to him after he yelled at Mom for doing the same damn thing.

But just because it's not 'the side' Dean would have picked, he can see Sam's reasoning. Mostly.

But these guys with their gadgets? They're not right, and Dean can feel it deep in his gut where it matters. Something's off, and he's not going to trust them with his family.

So yeah, he'll work with them, but what it is that they say? Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Bonus Dean Using Sam's 'Fancy Shampoo' Drabble - Yet to be titled...

Blood-red water rivers down his body and into the drain, taking bits of siren and ghoul with it.

He picks up Sam's fancy-ass shampoo, some organic shit with rosemary that costs more than most of the motels they stay in, and purposely squeezes way too much onto the palm of his hand.

Damn, it smells good, and leaves the most luscious lather. Once the last of the bubbles have drained away, he goes back for a second helping; y'know, just to make sure he's squeaky-clean.

If he uses the conditioner that Sam also tried to hide, well, that's Dean's business!



A/N: A bit of a mixed bag this one. But we got a Negan reference which I loved, boys in glasses, the banter and teasing, some lovely brotherly moments, the green cooler, Crowley out-smarting Lucifer, and Sam's 'secret' is finally out and hasn't caused too much drama! But I did find that some of the angel and demon scenes were a little dry, but I think there was definitely more good than bad. I hope you enjoy the drabble, and the bonus shower drabble which was spawned by caranfindel's initial reaction. Oh and I'm sure there's a witty title for that ('Lather, Rinse, Repeat'?), so let me know if you have any suggestions. I think you're spot on with Dean's reaction to Sam's reveal. And the shampoo one made me laugh.

I'm sure that's mostly what Dean's doing...keeping his enemies closer! And like you I was very happy that Sam fessed up and they didn't turn it into a huge drama; Dean's reaction was very measured.

Ah the shampoo! What I want to know is where Sam hides it! And how Dean found it!! :D

Thank you my friend! I like the idea of Dean wanting to keep the BMoL close and to be keeping an eye on them - his distrust was very clear. I'm actually hoping that the brothers do find out about Magda and the special forces guys - the sh*t will certainly hit the fan when that comes out! Also do they know about Sam and Dean's past? They seemed to, which makes me wonder if they know about the demon blood and Sam's powers, and Dean being a demon...*gulps*

I enjoyed the look into Dean's mind regarding the BMOL, and laughed at Dean going through Sam's extra-fancy shampoo.

I agree the ep was a mixed bag, but weighted for me towards the good. Loved that it is canon that Sam indulges his hair. :)

And yes I too love the idea of Sam indulging in 'fancy' shampoo being canon!!! I guess it does make you wonder what fancy shampoo means to Dean though? perhaps he sees a branded shampoo as fancy? But I do adore the idea of Sam using an expensive organic brand :)
