Keep the Faith

Sam wasn't planning on telling Dean; he'd been keeping it close to his chest, because Dean's going through enough and he doesn't need to know that Sam's so desperate for a relationship with his Mom that he might be blinded by it; that he wants what Dean has, and that he can't give up hope that he can still have it. He just can't.

So Sam can keep the faith, and he can hope and dream, and he can do all of that for himself and for his brother, knowing that no matter what happens, Dean will have his back.

A/N: Sorry this is later than normal, but RL has been eating into my fandom time this week! But what an episode this was; so much to love and adore, so much heartfelt honestly and communication, so many tear-jerking moments, all wrapped into a wonderfully written, directed and acted episode. I loved seeing the creature in the Empty form out of the black, and I loved seeing the boys open up and talk, and I loved that Jack got to have a moment with his mother, and I just loved it! After seeing Sam open up in the therapists's office, I just had to focus on him here. As always I'd love to hear your thoughts too; on the episode, on the drabble, on everything (just no spoilers please). Take care :)

I loved that bit in the therapist's office so damn much. It felt like it was about everything.

So Sam can keep the faith, and he can hope and dream, and he can do all of that for himself and for his brother, knowing that no matter what happens, Dean will have his back.

Yes, a million times!

It was such a highlight of the episode that scene; so well written and acted - I loved it! I just had to focus in on Sam for this drabble; I just loved that we got to hear some of his feelings. Oh these boys!!!!

I have been begging for the boys to go to therapy for years! I would love to see them go to her again. They need a therapist that knows about the hunting world. And omigosh, Sam admitting that about Dean having a better relationship with Mary was heartwrenching. Like you wrote, I believe he's been hiding it deep down for a while. Thanks for this! *hugs*

It was such a stand out scene, and you could see how it helped both of them in the end. It was heartbreaking to Sam's revelation and his relationship with Mary, and I'm happy to heart that you enjoyed the drabble. Thank you for stopping by :)

That moment in the therapists office was painful to watch, but so well acted. I love that Dean is aware he's acting like a dick, and Sam tries his utmost not to call him on it, but they both know it. This year the brothers are conflicted but talking, that's all I ever wanted! This drabble is beautiful hun xx

It really was, wasn't it? I loved it, and how in the end it actually helped both brothers and their relationship. And yes, I love how we're seeing more maturity and understanding here between the brothers; that they don't have to see eye to eye all the time, but they can still communicate. Thank you for stopping by lovely! :)

That convo/shouting match in the therapist's was so good, holy wow. Like, all the dialogue was on point, and it was so well-acted it was actually unnecessary. Their FACES. And Sam's feelings about Mary being gone, and having missed out on that relationship with her yet again, askljakj <3333

Wasn't it just glorious?! I loved that scene so much, and how the boys both ended up sharing a lot, especially Sam; it was great to see what's actually going on in his head at the moment. I really hope we see some more of that. Take care :)
