Hush, Little Baby

You feel it deep within as soon as you see her; an echo of something you've been craving for a long time.

You barely fight Sam on the plan; you let him be the bait, so that you can be the protector. You'll vet the temporary family; make sure she's safe until the time comes.

You've felt this before; with Sam, Ben, and maybe even Emma. But like the Darkness said, this does feel different; the three of you belong together, a true family, and their call is burning a new Mark just above your heart.

Soon, you'll be reunited.

A/N - I was thinking about why the Darkness took a female form for Dean, and thought that I'd allude to more of a 'family' vibe; with Dean, the Darkness, and their baby.

While I think Show is hinting that the Darkness and the baby may be the same thing, I thought I'd explore this idea now while I could. There's something so creepy about the idea that the Darkness would chose a female form on purpose, to take advantage of Dean's protectiveness towards family, and then use that to sustain Its bond with Dean; a family of (Darkness) three (literal, or not!)

I have to confess that initially I thought the baby and woman were separate people - sharing the mark. But yeah, the show suggests they are they same - which is quite interesting. I'm really looking forward to where they go with that.

I love the idea of family. And I really love the idea that Dean is connected because of that reason.

On my first view, I thought they were separate too. But after reading reactions, fics, drabbles etc and then re-watching, I see more now that they might be the same.

Perhaps it would be more interesting if they were separate though, more ambiguous maybe? But yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing which direction they're going to take it (I mean kid baddies are kinda awesome, I was always quite fond of kid Lilith! So creepy!)

Yes, seeing Dean's connection to the Darkness as one of family is powerful. I'd love to see Show go here! Yikes!
